Another fun summer week!

Whew, so much going on these days! I have quite a few pictures to share, so sit back and enjoy!

To start off the week, we celebrated Michael's (Jarom's brother) birthday. Happy Birthday! Isaac (who LOVES birthdays!) had to be restrained before he could blow out the candles, he was that excited.We had the 4-way walk through on the house this week to inspect everything before they put the sheet rock up. They need one more inspection from the city, and since the city offices were closed the rest of this week, they won't be able to get that done until next week. But the sheet rock should be delivered on Monday and they will start putting it up on Tuesday or Wednesday. This week was also Novell's family Lagoon Day! Emilie spent the day with Grandma (and I only cried a little after dropping her off - it was my first time being away from her!) and Isaac got some good one-on-one time with Mom and Dad. He was so excited to go on the little bumper cars, only to find out that it was a little harder than it looked and he spent most of the time up against the wall.
Here we are in line for the log ride. He was so excited to go on it because Thumbalina went down a waterfall in a log on an episode of SuperWhy and he wanted to do that too! Then on Wednesday, Jarom had to work late, so Isaac, Emilie, and I headed up to Bountiful to go to the Parade with Mandy and her parents (in back of me) and my little brother Chris came too! Here's a pic of me and the kiddos.
One of the floats for Bukos had this stuffed animal launcher thing and kids were swarming around it grabbing for toys. It was madness and Isaac ran to be a part of it. Somehow he came back with these little frogs. I'm not even going to guess what he had to do and who he had to hurt to get these, but he was pretty excited. (Isn't that shirt incredibly appropriate for him?!?) Then on Pioneer day, I asked Isaac what he wanted to do to celebrate the day and he said, very emphatically, that he wanted to go on a picnic, so we visited Dad at work and ate a yummy lunch on one of the outdoor picnic tables Novell has on their campus. We had so much fun on our little lunch date!
Then later that evening, we had some friends and family over for some hotdogs and fireworks. Isaac was THRILLED that his buddy Kaleb and his family came over! Since they moved, we don't get to see them as often, but Isaac and Kaleb didn't waste any time and had so much fun playing together and being cute friends.Jarom and his brothers Nathan and Matthew (and baby Michaela in the carrier). Jarom got to use his pyro skills and expertly lit off the fireworks we had left over from the 4th. It's a good thing we didn't have tons of fireworks because the kids lost interest after a few minutes and had more fun riding bikes up and down the street. Oh well, it's an excuse to get together and celebrate!
