The State has a wonderful clinic for babies who were born premature. Isaac had what was probably his last visit at the Neonatal Follow-up Clinic today and did so well! While he's there, he meets with quite a few different specialists, including a pediatrician, a speech pathologist, a psychologist, and an audiologist. It's so interesting to see the kinds of games they play with him to check his levels of development and get ideas of things to do with him at home to help him learn and grow. He is right on track with his psychological development and speech. He is in the 70% for height and 50% for weight - numbers he's never reached before, so it's great to see him growing so well. This is the last time that they need to see him since he is doing so well, yeah!
The psychologist confirmed that he has a very short attention span and likely has ADD, but we got some ideas on things to work on with him to encourage his attention span and good behavior. I'm not surprised by this since Jarom also has ADD and it gives us good perspective on ways to help him especially as he gets older and enters school.
While we were there, our good friends the Barlows showed up with their twin girls London and Madeline! (Our babies were in the NBICU together and were both born at 28 weeks, just a few weeks apart.) They are moving to Texas very soon and it was great to see them one last time before they leave. Good luck with your move!!!

well, he's always seemed very bright to me, so I'm not surprised to find out he's doing so well! We'll have to chat tomorrow about what you learned about dealing with ADD, I've got a feeling Marilyn's going to have some of the same issues-- knowing her mother and all.
